Week 1: Connection, Shared Experience, and Validation
In this session, we’ll focus on building a sense of connection by hearing some personal stories. Parenting can feel isolating, but in this session, you’ll find others who truly understand what you’re going through. We’ll validate the range of emotions and challenges that come with raising young children, creating a supportive space where you feel seen and understood. Together, we’ll explore the power of shared experience.
Week 2: Understanding Your Inner Parts
In this week’s session, we’ll dive into the concept of “parts,” the different aspects of ourselves that show up in response to stress, frustration, or exhaustion. We all have inner voices or parts that react when we’re stretched too thin, from the angry part to the perfectionist part. Together, we’ll explore how to recognize these parts, understand their purpose, and begin to work with them instead of feeling controlled by them.
Week 3: Practicing Self-Compassion
This session is all about turning kindness inward. Being a parent is challenging, and it’s easy to be hard on ourselves when things feel out of control. Here, we’ll discuss what self-compassion truly means and why it’s essential for both you and your children. You’ll learn practical ways to give yourself the grace you deserve in moments of overwhelm and discover how this practice can shift your mindset from self-criticism to self-support.
Week 4: Resourcing Yourself: Asking for Help and Building Support
In the final session, we’ll focus on resourcing yourself—how to ask for help and build a support network that truly nourishes you. Parenting isn’t meant to be done alone, but asking for help can sometimes feel hard or uncomfortable. We’ll explore ways to break through those barriers and tap into resources, whether they’re from your community, partner, or within yourself. You’ll leave this session with tools and strategies to sustain yourself through the ups and downs of parenting.
