Hi, I’m Elisa-Maria!

I’m so glad you are here!

Therapy is a space for connection and exploration. Through connection, we can heal attachment and relationship wounds by building a bond rooted in safety and trust—and yes, this can be achieved with a therapist! In therapy, we’ll explore the experiences that have shaped your emotional responses, empowering you to feel confident in navigating life.

Together, we can:

  • Identify, acknowledge, and process your emotions

  • Explore thought patterns and behaviors that leave you feeling stuck

  • Develop insights into past and present situations to better understand your reactions

  • Expand your ability to tolerate difficult emotions and equip you to handle challenging situations

  • Build skills and perspectives to foster growth and change in your relationships

My goal is to create a space where you can freely explore the experiences that have shaped you and gain the clarity and confidence to define who and how you want to be. Together, we’ll harness your current strengths and equip you with new skills and abilities so you can navigate life with greater confidence.

Whether you're loud or quiet, proud or ashamed, excited or fearful, cautious or brave—you are welcome here. No matter what you’re feeling, you’re invited to show up just as you are, and you will be met with care and kindness. I look forward to getting to know you and hearing your story.

Credentials

I hold a Master’s in Education in Counselling and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

As a trauma-informed clinician, I take a person-centered approach grounded in Emotion-Focused Therapy, integrating somatic and experiential techniques. My training includes AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, among others. I specialize in trauma and abuse, identity issues, self and interpersonal relationships, life transitions, and anxiety. I have extensive experience working with adults and teens across various community organizations in the Lower Mainland.

I am particularly passionate about supporting adults as they navigate romantic and familial relationships. I help individuals identify communication challenges, resolve conflicts, and cultivate emotionally healthy connections with their loved ones. Additionally, I offer couples counseling, drawing on training in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Relational Life Therapy.
